Kexby is a village and civil parish in the unitary authority of the City of York in North Yorkshire, England. It lies on the A1079 about east of York, on the River Derwent and the East Riding of Yorkshire border. According to the 2001 census the parish had a population of 194. Before 1996 it had been part of the Selby district. Former ''Emmerdale'' actor Frazer Hines has a stud farm here. The route of The White Rose Way, a long distance walk from Leeds to Scarborough, North Yorkshire also passes through. In 1823 Kexby, then part of the East Riding of Yorkshire, had a population of 149.
